Shannon D Roberts, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Roberts is currently serving as a Staff Dental Officer General Dentist at The Federal Corrections Complex in Florence, CO and building her practice as an Associate General Dentist with Dr. Diane E. Reck, DDS, PC. In addition, she provides exclusive facial esthetic services in conjunction with Lea Flores Photography. She also maintains a position as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry where she graduated with a Distinction in Dental Education. Dr. Roberts values lifelong learning and the pursuit of dental excellence. She has completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UTHSCSA and earned the Academy of General Dentistry Fellow Award.

After graduation from residency she was appointed as a full-time faculty member. She serves as co-course director for Esthetic Dentistry program for second, third, and fourth year dental students. She has published a number of critically appraised topics through UTHSCSA and the Texas Dental Journal as well as been a presenter at ADEA, AADR, and AES. During her time as a resident she received training in IV Moderate Sedation which she is excited to bring to her practice her in Colorado. Dr. Roberts has also taken a keen interest in facial esthetics completing hundreds of hours of continuing education and hand-on training. Recently, she became a Mentor with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics traveling to provide her clinical expertise in training other providers learning to perform facial esthetics procedures. She is excited to offer her patients comprehensive facial esthetics consultations to determine the best choices of facial rejuvenation treatments, neurotoxin injectables, dermal fillers, and/or smooth or lifting PDO threads.
 

Dr. Roberts is an active member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Colorado Springs Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Educators Association, American Academy of Facial Esthetics and Southern Colorado Seattle Study Club. 

Dr. Roberts’ family recently relocated to Colorado Springs, Co where her husband is now the Deputy Director of the USAFA AEGD program. She has two beautiful kids, Ellery and Owen. She has enjoyed the numerous outdoor activities and cooler weather that Colorado has to offer!
